Lack of insurance
Although travel insurance is mandatory for renting a car it doesn't cover everything. Some rental companies will charge you an additional fee for collision damage waiver (supplemental insurance coverage). You can opt out of coverage entirely if you wish to avoid paying this fee. You should not rent a vehicle without a credit or debit card. You are not covered for any injuries or intoxication if you cause an accident.
